The agent of Atlético Madrid star Stefan Savić has provided an update on his client’s future with the club.
Ahead of the January transfer window swinging open, stopper Savić has of late been hotly tipped to bring an imminent close to his stellar stint in Spain’s capital.
This comes with the Montenegrin’s contract at the Wanda Metropolitano set to expire next summer, and little progress having been made in talks over fresh terms.
A number of clubs in Saudi Arabia are understood to be keen on Savić, but over the last 24 hours, a new potential landing spot had been pushed in the media.
After the 32-year-old’s agent was spotted in Istanbul, it was quickly suggested that Fenerbahçe had set their sights on Savić.
Speaking to the media this evening, Žarko Peličić himself was therefore asked whether he has in fact opened negotiations with the powers that be at Fenerbahçe.
