Sevilla’s Thomas Delaney attracting interest from several European clubs

After a season and a half at Sevilla, midfielder Thomas Delaney could be on the way out.

As reported by Estadio Deportivo, the Danish international was on the road back to his home club of FC Copenhagen, before an injury at the World Cup froze negotiations.

In recent weeks, Hoffenheim’s interest in the 31-year-old has increased. According to the report, the German club want a loan deal with a buy option.

Crucially, the relationship between the directors of the two teams involved in this current negotiation has grown closer as of late.

After Sevilla wanted to terminate Kasper Dolberg’s loan, parent club OGC Nice insisted this would only be possible if the Spanish side found a new team willing to take him temporarily and pay his wages. Hoffenheim stepped in and offered to accommodate the young striker.

Hoffenheim will have competition however, as Copenhagen’s interest in Delaney has returned stronger than before.

Turkish outfit Beşiktaş are also said to be keen on a move for the experienced Denmark international.
