The board at La Liga outfit Sevilla have touched base with their counterparts at Premier League club Aston Villa, to gather information on the potential signing of Leon Bailey.
That’s according to market insider Fabrizio Romano, who has this weekend provided an insight into the situation.
Winger Bailey is for his part widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out. After returning early from a loan spell in Italy with AS Roma last season, the Jamaican international has since been informed that he is surplus to requirements at Villa Park.
A number of clubs from across Europe and beyond, in turn, are understood to have expressed an interest in bringing Bailey in for the season ahead.
And as alluded to above, over recent days, a leading Spanish outfit are understood to have joined the fray for the 29-year-old. As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:
‘Leon Bailey, expected to leave Aston Villa before the end of the window. Negotiations ongoing after several clubs, including Al Diriyah, Hull City and Sevilla, asked for conditions to get the winger.’
