Sevilla facing defensive problems ahead of Villarreal clash

La Liga outfit Sevilla are facing up to something of a personnel crisis at the back, ahead of their next outing.

As much comes with two of the Nervionenses’ leading central defenders looking increasingly likely to miss out against Villarreal.

Quique’s Sevilla are of course fresh off securing their place in the Spanish top-flight for next season.

This comes owing to a 3-0 drubbing of Granada on Sunday, a result which made it four wins from their last five for the Andalusian outfit.

In efforts to make it five from six this coming weekend, however, Sevilla could be forced into something of a defensive reshuffle.

First off, they will be forced to make do without Loïc Badé, who is facing up to a one-game suspension owing to an accumulation of yellow cards.

And fellow stopper Kike Salas looks increasingly likely to miss out against Villarreal on Saturday, too.

Salas limped out of his side’s victory over Granada with what appeared to be a muscular issue, with his participation at La Cerámica therefore up in the air.

As per Mundo Deportivo, all of Nemanja Gudelj, Djibril Sow, Óliver Torres, Isaac Romero and Adrià Pedrosa, meanwhile, are in line to sit out the remainder of the campaign.
