Semi-automated offside technology to be introduced to La Liga next season

Semi-automatic offside technology is the latest craze in football and it will be in Spain next year.

The technology is slowly being implemented around the world and it was first seen on a major scale during the World Cup, where it was used to great effect.

As reported by Relevo, La Liga will be implementing it before the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

The technology would have come in handy during last night’s Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Braga. Vinicius thought he had scored in the 82nd minute only to see the goal ruled out by an incredibly tight offside call.

The call was correct in the end, but much time and debate could be saved with the introduction of the automated technology.

This technology should have in fact been in use in Spain this year, but the disgraced Luis Rubiales was against it when he was still in his role at the RFEF, along with a couple of other senior figures.
