‘See what it means to be here’ – Fresh confusion as Hannibal included in Sevilla squad vs Osasuna

A fresh twist in the tale when it comes to Hannibal Mejbri’s situation at Sevilla has been revealed late this evening.

The name of midfielder Hannibal has of course taken its place front and centre in the Spanish media headlines across the day to date.

This comes after the youngster – fresh off his loan arrival from Manchester United – was publicly called out by head coach Quique Sánchez Flores.

Amid reports that the coaching staff in Andalusia have been less than impressed by Hannibal’s behaviour at the club to date, Quique informed the media:

“After being with him, talking to him and having seen his first minutes in Girona, we are going to give him the necessary space to understand where he is, that he is at Sevilla and what it means.”

From here, it was swiftly added that the Tunisian international would not be considered for selection by Sevilla for the foreseeable future.

It has, in turn, come as a major surprise, just hours on, to see Hannibal bizarrely included in the Nervionenses’ latest matchday squad.

As confirmed across the club’s social media platforms, the 21-year-old will be at the disposal of boss Quique when Sevilla play host to Osasuna on Sunday evening:
