Real Sociedad handed injury boost before Alavés

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad have on Tuesday been afforded an altogether welcome boost on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that a headline member of the club’s defensive ranks has rejoined group training.

The player in question? Álvaro Odriozola.

Full-back Odriozola, for his part, has not taken to the pitch since early February, after suffering a hyperextension to his right knee during a meeting with Girona.

As confirmed by Mundo Deportivo, though, this morning, he linked back up with the remaining members of Imanol’s squad not to have been called up for international duty.

The 28-year-old is, in turn, expected to be available for selection when La Real return to action in a trip to Mendizorrotza to faces Alavés on the far side of the break.

On the other hand, still absent from the group in San Sebastián on Tuesday were the trio of Ander Barrenetxea, Aihen Muñoz, and Carlos Fernández.
