Spanish giants Real Madrid’s preparations for the club’s upcoming showdown with RB Leipzig were shaken on Monday afternoon.
This comes amid confirmation that Real’s team bus was involved in a road accident in Germany a short time ago.
The info comes courtesy of German outlet BILD, relayed by Marca, who point towards a car as having crashed into the coach carrying Los Blancos’ stars on the A4 motorway on Monday:
“On the A4 motorway, between Eichelborn and Nohra, a white Toyota suffered a collision with the Madrid team bus. The driver of the car overlooked the bus while changing lanes and the exterior mirror broke. The Toyota Avensis was damaged by value of about 3,000 euros. The extent of the damage suffered by the Real bus is still not clear. After a brief stop, fortunately all those involved continued without suffering any accident.”
Marca add that the individual responsible for the incident lost control of his vehicle whilst attempting to record Real Madrid’s bus with his mobile phone.
Thankfully, as confirmed by multiple sources, no one was hurt.
Carlo Ancelotti’s stars, in fact, ‘did not feel the collision’.
Nevertheless, upon the coach reaching its destination at the Steigenberger hotel – where Real Madrid’s squad will spend the coming days – ‘there were clear scratches from the impact it had suffered with the fan’s car’.
