The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid would be more willing to part with a fellow member of the club’s midfield ranks than the oft-transfer-linked Eduardo Camavinga.
This comes amid the understanding that Aurélien Tchouaméni is currently considered more transferable than his fellow French international.
Camavinga’s name of course took its place centre stage in the media chatter in Spain’s capital this past summer. This came amid widespread speculation that the former Rennes talent could be snapped up for the right price.
In the end, ‘Cama’ stayed put, since setting about wrestling back starter status under the watch of new boss José Mourinho.
And now, it is another member of the engine room ranks at the Santiago Bernabéu who has instead been tipped to move on… Speaking during a media appearance (as cited by Fichajes) this week, Real Madrid insider Jorge C Picon explained:
“They keep telling me that if a good offer comes in for Tchouaméni, it’s a sale. The person who told me this believes they would sell Tchouaméni before Camavinga. In a meeting last year, when Real Madrid considered Rodri’s arrival a done deal, it was said that they had to find a way to offload Tchouaméni.”
