Real Madrid’s contract offer and salary for Kylian Mbappé

A major update in the Kylian Mbappé saga has come to light. PSG are setting the asking price of €200m for their star forward, according to RMC and Real Madrid will struggle to match that valuation due to the club already splashing out €900m on the ongoing renovation at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Mbappé is looking to see out the final year of his contract at the Parc des Princes and then become a free agent in 2024, but PSG are trying everything to avoid that scenario from taking place. As such, club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has given an asking price for the 24-year-old in an attempt to speed up the sale process.

The French player still has to collect bonuses from his current lucrative deal with PSG. Those bonuses amount to about €170m, in addition to a one-year contract of around €70m. However, Mbappé would be willing to give up a chunk of that money.

The latest report by Cadena SER states that Real have already written out a contract for Mbappé. The club will offer him a five-year contract, a €50m per year salary, and the deal will include a release clause worth €1bn.
