Real Madrid vs Barcelona: Possible line-ups for El Clásico

At Get Spanish Football News, we have looked at the possible line-ups for Saturday’s El Clásico between Real Madrid and Barcelona at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano in Madrid.

Team news

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is still without three key parts of his first choice back four. Dani Carvajal, Sergio Ramos and Raphaël Varane are all out, which suggests that the French coach will stick with the back four he played in his side’s 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday.

For Barcelona, Ronald Koeman will have to decide whether veteran centre-back Gerard Piqué can play from the start, after training with his team-mates for the past couple of days. Piqué suffered a lateral ligament sprain in his right knee in the 3-0 Copa del Rey win over Sevilla earlier this year, which helped Barça come from behind to reach the final of the competition.

Antoine Griezmann, however, didn’t take part in the team’s session on Thursday after his wife gave birth to their third child and it is uncertain whether the France forward will start the match.

Real Madrid predicted starting XI:

Courtois – Lucas Vázquez, Nacho, Militão, Mendy – Casemiro, Kroos, Modric – Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius.

Barcelona predicted starting XI:

Ter Stegen – Dest, Lenglet, Piqué, Mingueza, Jordi Alba – Busquets, De Jong, Pedri – Messi, Dembélé.
