The latest photos stemming from the training ground of La Liga giants Real Madrid spell altogether positive news for Los Blancos.
This comes amid confirmation that Antonio Rüdiger has rejoined group training alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Stopper Rüdiger has of course been forced to sit out each of his side’s last four outings across all competitions.
As much comes owing to a thigh injury, suffered against Getafe at the beginning of the month.
The hope was that the German would have marked his return to matchday duties by now, but as much, evidently, has not proven the case, forcing boss Ancelotti into emergency measures amid a crisis at the heart of his backline.
In turn, it will no doubt come as a boost to all associated with Real Madrid to hear that, on Thursday, Rüdiger was back in action at Valdebebas.
As showcased in the photo below, the former Chelsea man has linked back up with his teammates, understood to have seen out the majority of Thursday’s morning session:
After it was widely reported on Wednesday that Rüdiger’s availability to face Sevilla at the weekend was largely dependent on his readiness to participate in training on Thursday and Friday, this morning’s developments would certainly point towards the 30-year-old being in line for an imminent return to the pitch.
