A highly-anticipated newly-introduced feature of Real Madrid’s renovated Santiago Bernabéu stadium is set to be unveiled in the club’s upcoming showdown with Manchester City.
That’s according to Miguel Ángel Díaz of COPE, who has today provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
On Sunday night, in the club’s La Liga meeting with Athletic Club, Real plan to show off their retractable stadium roof lights.
The lights will be a deep shade of purple, to match the kit set to be donned by Los Merengues’ in the fixture.
Then, in a little over a week’s time, another head-turning Bernabéu addition will be revealed to the public.
The feature in question comes in the form of the 360 degree video scoreboard, photos of which have sparked excitement across the Real fanbase over recent weeks.
The intention is for the board to be up and running in time for the first leg of the club’s Champions League quarter-final tie with Manchester City.
