Real Madrid to fly directly to Málaga for Spanish Super cup

Spanish airport authorities have confirmed to Real Madrid after a meeting held on Sunday afternoon, that the team will not be able to return to Madrid today, according to AS. The club have since decided to travel directly to Málaga, where on Thursday they will play in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Club.

Madrid will fly tomorrow morning and will stay at the Miramar hotel. It has not been confirmed if they will train in Málaga on Monday afternoon or wait until Tuesday morning.

The LaLiga club tried to fly back to Madrid on Sunday but found it impossible to organise due to the extreme weather across many parts of Spain.
