Sevilla have announced that they have renewed head coach Julen Lopetegui’s contract until June 2024.
Former Real Madrid boss, Lopetegui, whose previous contract was due to expire in 2022, has deservedly seen his contract extended with the Europa League champions. Sporting Director Monchi is delighted with the work of the coach, who guided the Andalusian club to qualify for the Champions League in his first season and subsequently lift the club’s sixth Europa League title in 14 years.
In 79 official matches, he has won 46, drawn 19, and lost 14, which means Sevilla are unbeaten in 82% of their games under the Basque manager.
