Real Madrid star’s UCL display to earn him a new contract

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid will soon be offered an extension to his terms with the club.

That’s according to José Luis Sánchez, who, speaking on El Chiringuito TV on Thursday, pointed towards Joselu as being the player in question.

Frontman Joselu, for his part, is of course fresh off a career-defining performance late last night.

With Real Madrid a goal down and on their way out of the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich, the 34-year-old was introduced to the fray by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

And, safe to say, Joselu went on to repay the faith of his manager, and then some…

After first drawing Los Blancos level courtesy of a poacher’s finish on the rebound late on, the Spanish international was back at it again just minutes later, bagging what proved to be the decisive goal in guiding Real Madrid to yet another Champions League final.

And, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then such endeavours appear to have proven enough to clear up any remaining doubt surrounding Joselu’s future.

The experienced attacker is of course currently on loan at the Santiago Bernabéu, from 2nd tier Espanyol.

As per the aforementioned José Luis Sánchez, though, Real Madrid are now ready to sign Joselu outright, on a short-term contract through the summer of 2025.
