A headline member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid remains in with a strong chance of departing before the close of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to The Athletic’s Guillermo Rai, who points towards Andriy Lunin as the player in question.
It has of course long been rumoured that goalkeeper Lunin could be on the move this summer, amid frustration with the prospect of returning to backup duties behind Thibaut Courtois over the season ahead.
It appeared as though any such doubts had been put to bed late last month, upon Carlo Ancelotti assuring that there would be no incomings or outgoings at the Santiago Bernabéu over the final weeks of the window.
In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to hear that, in fact, Lunin’s future remains altogether uncertain…
As per a report from Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic:
‘Andriy Lunin still has a good chance of leaving Real Madrid. His camp is not completely shutting down the possibility of a move. However, it will not be easy because Madrid are asking for a high price.’
