Real Madrid star sets another World Cup record

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Tuesday secured for himself a fresh piece of history on the international front. This comes owing to his starting berth in France’s showdown with Spain.

Mbappé and France are of course primed to return to action in short order.

With a place in the final of this summer’s World Cup on the line, Les Bleus have been pitted against European rivals Spain at Dallas Stadium in Arlington.

Didier Deschamps has opted for a predictably strong XI for the evening, featuring the likes of William Saliba, Ousmane Dembélé and Michael Olise.

It is the inclusion of the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé, though, which has culminated in history.

As confirmed by a number of sources on Tuesday evening, upon taking to the pitch in short order, Real Madrid’s star goalscorer will become the French player with the most appearances ever at the World Cup (21).
