A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid could be on the move with a view to next season.

Stopper Asencio has found himself in and out of the XI in Spain’s capital across the season to date, owing to a combination of competition for places, and fitness problems.
Nevertheless, the 23-year-old is widely viewed as an important figure at the Santiago Bernabéu, especially when taking into account the advancing years of the likes of David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger.
It may therefore come as something of a surprise to learn that, in the case of a sufficient offer arriving this summer, Asencio could well be on the move.
As per a report from The Athletic’s Guillermo Rai:
‘Academy graduate Raul Asencio is considered transferable.’
Little further information is provided regarding a potential price-tag, but fresh off another disappointing Champions League exit this week, the Real Madrid brass appear ready to make some tough calls over the months ahead.
