The board at Barcelona are giving consideration to what would be a surprise summer move for RCD Mallorca star Vedat Muriqi.
Frontman Muriqi is for his part in the midst of a stellar individual campaign to date.
The 31-year-old currently sits 2nd in the Pichichi standings with 21 goals to his name, trailing only Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappé.
And such exploits, it would appear, have not gone at all unappreciated on the part of those in the boardroom at the aforementioned Barcelona.
The Blaugrana are widely expected to seek out reinforcements up top this summer, amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the futures of both Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.
And Muriqi, it is understood, has over recent weeks emerged as a cut-price option the shortlist of Deco and co.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘Barça eyeing Muriqi as a ‘low cost’ option. The Blaugrana team has inquired about the striker’s situation. La Liga’s second-highest scorer has a 40M release clause but could leave for a lower price.’
