Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni responds to Kubo’s criticism

Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni has taken to social media, to provide his response to the criticism aimed in the direction of he and his teammates by Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo on Friday night.

For those who may have missed it, wide-man Kubo made use of his post-match interview on the back of Sociedad’s meeting with Real Madrid to reveal his frustration with the standard of officiating in the clash.

En route to an eventual 1-0 defeat, the hosts at Anoeta saw a pair of goals chalked off, one for a foul in the buildup, and one for offside.

And honing in largely on the former, which he himself netted, Kubo, during an interview with Movistar, made clear his opinion that the aforementioned Tchouaméni got ‘lucky’.

As much comes after the VAR team came to the conclusion that the Frenchman had been fouled by Ander Barrenetxea, a call which Kubo, evidently, did not agree with:

“Barrene is going to tackle and the player (Tchouaméni) who loses the ball falls asleep. I don’t know what would happen in the Champions League, but I don’t think they’re going to get whistled.

“They (Real Madrid) were lucky,” the Japanese added.

Safe to say, however, that the man on the receiving end of Kubo’s criticism views the incident altogether differently.

Taking to his official ‘X’ account in the early hours of Saturday, Aurélien Tchouaméni responded to a post highlighting the comments of Real Sociedad’s talented attacker, with a simple ‘raised eyebrow’ emoji:
