La Liga giants Real Madrid have agreed on the terms of a contract extension with a leading member of the club’s engine room ranks. This comes amid widespread confirmation that Arda Güler has agreed to commit his long-term future to the capital outfit.
Midfielder Arda is for his part in the midst of a stellar opening to the new campaign.
Wasting little time in shutting down speculation that he may find game time tough to come by under new boss José Mourinho, the Turk has played a headline role in the new era at Real Madrid.
From his berth in the middle of the park, Arda has proven himself Los Blancos’ most consistent source of creativity, from open play and set pieces alike.
Looking more confident and physically capable than ever before, the 21-year-old has taken the overall level of his game to an entirely new level.
And this upward trajectory has evidently not gone unappreciated behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu… As per a report from Diario AS:
‘Arda Güler will remain at Real Madrid until 2031. The player and the club have reached an agreement to extend his contract for two seasons beyond the 2029 deadline that the Turkish player signed when he joined the club.’
It is added that the agreement also includes ‘a salary increase commensurate with his growing status within the team’.
