A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is attracting serious interest from the Premier League ahead of January. This comes amid the understanding that Jules Koundé has emerged as something of a man in demand in England.
Stopper Koundé is for his part in the midst of what has been a largely underwhelming opening to the new campaign from an individual standpoint.
Whilst his Barcelona teammates have been busy lighting up the pitch to the tune of eight wins from eight across all competitions, the Frenchman has been forced to watch on from the bench.
Relegated to 2nd-choice in Hansi Flick’s right-back pecking order behind Eric García, Koundé has been afforded a starting berth in just one of the Blaugrana’s seven La Liga fixtures.
As alluded to above, though, such woes do not appear to have dented the former Sevilla man’s reputation, in the Premier League at least…
As per a report from Fichajes, citing Diario Sport:
‘The French international is a highly sought-after player. Five clubs are tracking him ahead of the upcoming transfer windows, all of them Premier League giants: Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.’
It is added that Barcelona would be open to a sale at the right price.
