La Liga giants Real Madrid have this evening closed a deal a fresh addition to the club’s goalkeeping ranks.
That’s according to Marca’s José Félix Díaz, who has provided an update on developments behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The player set to take his talents to Spain’s capital ahead of the 2nd half of the campaign? Illia Voloshyn.
Voloshyn, for his part, is a 17-year-old shot-stopper, widely regarded to be one of Spanish football’s finest in his position.
In fact, so impressive have the Ukrainian’s performances been with Rayo Majadahonda, that ‘half of Europe’ are said to have been keeping tabs on his progress.
It is Real Madrid, though, who have today beaten out the competition to strike a deal with their counterparts at Majadahonda.
As per the aforementioned Marca, Voloshyn is primed to put pen to paper on a contract with Los Blancos through the summer of 2027, ahead of his presentation on Wednesday.
The youngster will in turn link up with Real’s C team, with a view to a future path to the first-team setup at the Bernabéu.
