Real Madrid release statement on Kylian Mbappé

Real Madrid have released an official statement, denying rumours surrounding the imminent arrival of Kylian Mbappé.

This comes, for those who may have missed it, on the back of fresh claims in the Spanish media, pointing towards the Frenchman preparing to seal a long-awaited move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

On Friday, Diario AS unveiled a new report, suggesting that Mbappé had agreed to forfeit a €100m loyalty clause to Paris Saint-Germain, to link up with Real in the summer of 2024.

As much, however, has since been vehemently denied.

In a post across the club’s website and social media platforms on Saturday evening, Los Blancos unveiled an unwavering statement, ensuring that they are not engaged in any form of negotiations with Mbappé and his entourage:

Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place. with a player who belongs to PSG.”

Turning attentions back towards matters on the pitch, Carlo Ancelotti’s Real will mark their return to action on Sunday night, in a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano.

Los Blancos currently sit 2nd in Spain’s top-flight, three points adrift of surprise package Girona.
