Real Madrid planning to announce new deal for Vinícius

Vinícius Júnior signed a new contract with Real Madrid over a year ago but the club never made an official announcement. The Brazilian’s new deal keeps him at Real Madrid until 2027.

The plan was to do the announcement either this week or last, but Florentino Pérez contracted Covid which put all ideas to a halt. The new plan is to have a celebration of sorts after the international break when Vini returns from international duty, as reported by Relevo.

The winger has a release clause of €1 billion in his contract as well as a significant wage increase.

Vini has not had an ideal start to the new season. He got injured in the third league game against Celta Vigo and only returned to action a couple of weeks ago. He is still being eased in to regain match fitness but he seems to be finding his feet.

He played 84 minuted in the Champions League tie against Napoli and bagged a goal. He also played the majority of the 4-0 drubbing of Osasuna and left the pitch with a goal and assist to his name. Fans will be hoping that the Brazilian can keep his fitness and get back to his best.
