Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos considering Germany return for Euro 2024

Real Madrid midfielder is giving serious consideration to coming out of international retirement for next summer’s European Championships.

That’s according to German outlet Bild, who have provided an insight into the plans of the former Bayern Munich man.

Kroos, for his part, has not taken to the pitch in his country’s colours since all the way back in 2021.

After racking up over a century of appearances for Die Mannschaft, their disappointing exit from Euro 2020 marked the final straw for the midfield maestro.

At the time, Kroos assured that there would ‘not be another time’ when he pulled on the German colours.

But, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, the 33-year-old could be set to go back on his word.

As per German journalist Christian Falk of Sport Bild, Kroos is ‘seriously considering a comeback’ to the international stage, for Euro 2024.

This comes on the back of a conversation with Julian Nagelsmann, the man tasked with leading Germany’s efforts to secure a first European Championship crown since all the way back in 1996.
