A legendary figure at La Liga giants Real Madrid paid a surprise visit to the club’s training base on Wednesday. The Blancos icon in question? Luka Modrić.
Midfielder Modrić is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch in the colours of his native Croatia for the latest occasion on Tuesday, locking horns with Spain in a Nations League clash.
The 41-year-old has in turn been afforded a brief period of rest, before heading back to Italy to link up with AC Milan.
And as alluded to above, earlier today, Modrić made use of this opportunity to pay a visit to his former employers in Spain’s capital.
As revealed by El Chiringuito TV, the veteran engine room star was spotted in attendance at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground this afternoon.
Whilst there, Modrić reunited with a number of former Blancos teammates, as well as the club’s new crop of stars:
