The recruitment team at Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the progress of no fewer than three members of Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen’s squad, according to reports.
Bayer, of course, have proven themselves the headline talking point of the German campaign to date.
This comes with the up-and-comers, under the watch of Xabi Alonso, having marched their way to the top of the Bundesliga table, with a record of 10 wins from 11 outings.
Their stellar record aside, though, it is Bayer’s slick brand of football that has piqued the attention of clubs across the continent, with one such outfit coming in the form of Spanish giants Real Madrid.
As per a report from Sport, Florentino Pérez and the powers that be at the Santiago Bernabéu have identified no fewer than three members of Alonso’s squad as targets on the transfer front.
The stars in question come in the form of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Victor Boniface.
Frimpong is a creative right-back, Wirtz a gifted attacking midfielder, and Boniface an explosive centre-forward.
Los Blancos’ interests do not end there, though, with highly-rated coach and former Madrid creator Xabi Alonso also viewed as a potential long-term successor to Carlo Ancelotti.
