The transfer team at La Liga giants Real Madrid have already made a call on their option to bring Jacobo Ramón back to the club in the summer of 2027.
This comes amid the understanding that Los Blancos have been sufficiently impressed to activate the return clause in the defender’s contract at Como.
Youngster Jacobo for his part departed Real Madrid on a permanent basis in the summer of 2025. After making the call to seek out more consistent senior playing time in Italy, the 21-year-old has since gone on to emerge as a leading figure at Cesc Fàbregas’ Como.
After racking up 30 Serie A starts last season, Jacobo has since followed up with a further 10 starts between league and European competition this time round.
And along the way, the Spaniard has excelled at both ends of the pitch, already with three goals and an assist to his name.
Unfortunately for Como, though, with such ongoing excellence comes inevitable outside interest. And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then Real Madrid appear primed to pounce.
As per transfer insider Matteo Moretto, speaking during an appearance on DAZN:
“Real Madrid are going to execute the buyback option for Jacobo Ramón for less than €9M (next summer).”
From here, those in a position of power at the Santiago Bernabéu will have the option of either keeping hold of Jacobo to develop the stopper further, or selling him on at a profit.
