The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are keeping a watchful eye on the situation of Chelsea star Estêvão Willian. This comes with a view to a potential future move for the Brazilian.
Youngster Estêvão is for his part in the midst of what has been an altogether challenging opening to the new campaign. Previously considered one of Chelsea’s star performers despite his tender years, the 19-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the plans of new Blues boss Xabi Alonso.
Estêvão, in fact, has not been afforded a single Premier League start across the term to date.
Still held in high regard across the continent, a number of clubs are in turn reported to be closely monitoring the immediate future of the explosive attacker.
And chief amongst them, according to Diario Sport (as cited by Fichajes), are Barcelona.
Spanish champions Barca expressed a keen interest in Estêvão’s services prior to his Stamford Bridge switch, considered a perfect fit in the Blaugrana’s attack-minded setup.
His recent woes in west London have therefore not gone unnoticed behind the scenes at the Camp Nou, as Deco and co. weigh up a possible future move to bring the Brazilian international to Catalunya.
