Real Madrid handed boost in Leny Yoro pursuit

The Real Madrid brass have today been afforded something of a boost in their widely-rumoured pursuit of LOSC Lille sensation Leny Yoro.

Media speculation, of course, has mounted over the course of the last couple of weeks, that stopper Yoro has been earmarked as a chief target on the part of the transfer team at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The youngster, for his part, is widely considered to be one of the finest emerging talents in not only his home country of France, but all of Europe.

This comes with Yoro, at just 18 years of age, having already established himself as a central figure at the heart of Lille’s backline.

All told, across the season to date, he has featured from the off in 16 of the club’s 18 league outings, even chipping in with a pair of goals along the way.

The aforementioned Real, in turn, have joined the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in the hunt for the sought after Frenchman.

And, if the latest word stemming from the press on Tuesday is anything to go by, such suitors have now been afforded a collective boost in their efforts to land Yoro.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of French journalist Fabrice Hawkins that the central defender is currently leaning away from penning fresh terms with Lille.

The Ligue 1 outfit have already offered a new contract to Yoro, but, as things stand, ‘the trend is not towards an extension’.
