Real Madrid’s supporters have taken to social media in their droves on Sunday, to reveal the collective take that Yan Diomandé should now be considered a starter over Vinícius Jr.
This comes fresh off the former’s latest starring performance…
José Mourinho’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Sevilla to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.
The aforementioned Yan Diomandé featured from the off in the fixture, slotting in on the left amid the suspension-enforced absence of Vinícius Jr.
And the summer arrival at the Bernabéu went on to enjoy an evening to remember… En route to a comfortable 4-1 triumph for Real Madrid, Diomandé was responsible for both a goal and an assist.
His goal, inside the closing ten minutes, came in spectacular fashion, as the Ivorian drove forward from deep before rifling into the top corner courtesy of an unstoppable right-footed strike.
And as alluded to above, such exploits already appear to have convinced many Real Madrid fans of one thing: That Diomandé should maintain his status as Los Merengues’ first-choice left winger, ahead of Vinícius Jr.
