Real Madrid down to 12 fit first-team players following Eder Militao injury

Goal report that Real Madrid have been left with just 12 first-team players following an injury to centre-back Eder Militao.

Zinedine Zidane’s side beat Huesca 2-1 away in LaLiga on Saturday. Madrid were without the defender for the game as he was suspended following a red card in the defeat to Levante last weekend.

Militao is now facing an extended period on the sidelines after undergoing tests on Sunday as his teammates trained, but the Brazilian has been ruled out of the fixture against Getafe in midweek.

The injury news is just the latest in a luckless run for the Spanish champions. Sergio Ramos underwent surgery on a knee injury on Saturday which, according to reports, will leave him out of action for between six and 10 weeks.

Complicating matters for the Getafe game is the suspension of midfielder Toni Kroos, who picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Huesca.
