The home crowd in attendance at La Liga giants Real Madrid’s meeting with RB Leipzig made use of the opportunity to make known once more their ongoing frustration with the ‘Negreira Case’.
Those in a position of power at Real Madrid of course breathed fresh life into the court case surrounding arch rivals Barcelona and former Spanish refereeing chief José María Enriquez Negreira earlier this month.
This came courtesy of the submission of an in-depth new document to UEFA, calling for action against those in the boardroom at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Barcelona maintain their innocence when it comes to the case, but those on the other half of the Clásico divide evidently have no intention of throwing in the towel in their pursuit of what they consider to be justice.
Ahead of this weekend’s La Liga showdown between the sides, the Real Madrid faithful therefore aimed a fresh dig at Barcelona on Wednesday night.
During their side’s Champions League clash with RB Leipzig, the Blancos supporters in question unveiled a banner, reading:
‘No impunity for Negreira’
