Real Madrid could receive a surprise €20m cash injection from the Premier League

Real Madrid are in line for an incoming financial boost, courtesy of La Liga rivals Osasuna.

As much comes as Víctor Muñoz inches towards a move to the Premier League, with Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.

Attacker Muñoz is widely reported to be on the verge of taking his explosive talents to St. James’ Park, after Newcastle tabled a big-money offer for the 22-year-old’s signature.

Muñoz has been identified as the ideal replacement for Barcelona’s Anthony Gordon, with the Magpies willing to part with a fee in the region of €40 million to make his arrival a reality.

Osasuna, though, will only be entitled to half of this sum.

As per a report from Marca, Real Madrid included a 50% sell-on clause in the deal which sent Muñoz to El Sadar last summer.

Based on the alleged transfer figures, upon Osasuna, as expected, giving the green light to the winger’s Newcastle move, Los Blancos will in turn be entitled to an initial €17.5 million, plus a potential €2.5 million in bonuses.
