Members of the coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid have more than once this season complained about the attitude displayed by a member of the club’s defensive ranks.
The Blancos star in question? Álvaro Carreras.
Stopper Carreras is for his part of course in the midst of what has been a largely productive debut campaign back in the colours of Real Madrid.
Since swapping Benfica for Spain’s capital in a big-money transfer last summer, the 23-year-old has made the left-back berth his own, en route to 36 starts across all competitions.
As alluded to above, though, not all behind the scenes at Valdebebas have been entirely impressed by Carreras since his Blancos comeback…
As per a report from The Athletic, amid mounting problems in Álvaro Arbeloa’s squad:
‘Sources among Madrid’s coaching staff have complained about the 23-year-old’s attitude and professionalism.’
It is also noted that Carreras’ entourage have vehemently denied such accusations,
