Real Madrid captain sends promise to club’s fans ahead of new season

Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has this week sent a defiant message the way of the club’s fans, regarding the season ahead.

Los Blancos are of course fresh off what proved to be something of a campaign to forget all told in 2025/26. Struggling to come together as a collective unit, the capital giants were forced to watch on as arch rivals Barcelona dominated La Liga once again.

On the continental front, meanwhile, Real were sent packing from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, at the hands of Bayern Munich.

This made it back-to-back trophyless years dating back to 2024.

Safe to say, then, that all associated with Los Merengues will be hopeful of a more productive term this time round, headed by the incoming José Mourinho.

And one individual ready to do whatever it takes to ensure that silverware makes its way back to the Bernabéu by next summer is the aforementioned Fede Valverde.

Speaking to the media (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) on Wednesday, midfielder Valverde explained:

“This season, it’s going to be time to win titles and make the Madridistas happy again. We want the fans to be proud of us.”
