Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti provides Jude Bellingham injury update

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided an update on the wellbeing of star midfielder Jude Bellingham.

This comes after the England international set pulses racing across the Real fanbase a short time ago.

Los Blancos, of course, marked their return to action this evening, welcoming Girona to the Santiago Bernabéu for a top of the table La Liga showdown.

And, when all was said and done, Ancelotti and co. made clear their dominance over the rest of Spanish football.

This came as goals on the part of all of Vinícius Jr, Jude Bellingham (2) and Rodrygo guided Real Madrid to the right side of a remarkable 4-0 triumph.

As alluded to above, though, amid an otherwise wonderful evening’s work for the capital giants, Real were also dealt a blow.

This came on the personnel front, upon the aforementioned Bellingham limping out of proceedings with what appeared to be an ankle problem.

The England international was involved in a coming together during the first-half which left him grounded, and in evident pain.

And though he ultimately managed to continue, before finding the net twice, Bellingham was in the end forced to succumb to the issue.

Speaking to the media in his post-match press conference, Carlo Ancelotti was in turn inevitably asked for an update on his star performer’s situation.

And the Real Madrid boss went on to confirm:

“Bellingham has an ankle sprain. We will assess him tomorrow.”
