Real Betis stand firm amid Flamengo’s move for Luiz Henrique

An update on the future of Real Betis star Luiz Henrique has been provided this afternoon.

The info comes courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that Brazilian giants Flamengo remain intent on bringing Henrique back to his home country this month.

As things stand, however, the transfer looks altogether unlikely to come to fruition.

This comes with the Real Betis brass refusing to budge on their asking price for a player still deemed as important by head coach Manuel Pellegrini.

Henrique, for his part, has featured from the off in each of Betis’ last two La Liga outings, first clinching Man of the Match honours against Granada, before bagging an assist en route to defeat at the hands of Barcelona last night.

Despite a new meeting between the clubs over the weekend, a deal is in turn labelled as simply ‘not happening as of today’ by the aforementioned Romano.
