Raphinha responds to Barcelona fan printing his number on Nico Williams jersey

Barcelona star Raphinha has on Tuesday turned heads across social media.

As much comes owing to his response to a member of the club’s fanbase essentially calling for him to be replaced by Athletic Club star Nico Williams.

The futures of wingers Raphinha and Nico have of course been linked throughout the summer transfer window to date.

This comes amid long-standing speculation that the former could be sacrificed, to allow for the arrival of the Euro 2024 winner at the Camp Nou.

Developments over recent days have of course seen as much begin to look altogether less likely, with Nico having secured for himself the no.10 jersey at Athletic Club.

Evidently, though, some members of the Barcelona fanbase have not yet given up hope of the Spaniard’s arrival…

And one such supporter, early this week, made as much crystal clear by way of his activity on social media.

In a post which has since gone viral, the Blaugrana fan in question unveiled a photo of himself holding up the club’s new home jersey.

Printed on the back was the name ‘Williams Jr’, accompanied by the no.11, currently occupied by the aforementioned Raphinha in Hansi Flick’s squad.

The latter, though, was not willing to allow such disrespect to pass without making his feelings known…

Taking to the comments section of the Instagram post in question, Raphinha unveiled a simple but effective comment, featuring little more than a series of laughing emojis:
