Barcelona star Raphinha has provided a fresh insight into his future with the club.
As much, of course, comes fresh off what marked an evening to remember for the Brazilian international.
Afforded a starting berth in Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final first-leg meeting with Paris Saint-Germain, Raphinha went on to secure for himself Man of the Match honours.
This came courtesy of a brace, the 2nd a wonderful volleyed finish, en route to Barca securing a crucial advantage to take back to Catalunya for next week’s return leg.
The decisive exploits put forth by the former Leeds United star in France’s capital have since given rise to renewed chatter surrounding his future.
Raphinha has of course been hotly tipped to depart Barcelona this summer, amid mounting interest stemming from the money-laden Saudi Pro League in his signature.
Speaking to the media late on Wednesday night, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his own plans for next season was put to the 27-year-old himself.
And, in his response, Raphinha left little room for interpretation, adamant that his sole desire is to succeed in Blaugrana colours:
“I still have more years on my contract and I plan to fulfill them. I will do my best to stay here at Barça for many more years!”
