PSG turn down chance to offer Real Madrid bound Kylian Mbappé a new deal

An update on the future of long-term Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappé has been provided today.

As revealed by transfer-expert Farbrizio Romano, sources close to PSG have denied that the Emir of Qatar will make a new proposal to convince Mbappé to stay at the club. In the club’s meeting today, the future of the Frenchman will not be discussed, as he has already made it clear that he wants to make the switch from Paris to the Spanish capital.

PSG won’t offer the 25-year-old a new proposal, as they are aware that he is in advanced talks with Los Blancos. Furthermore, the club do not want to risk the player rejecting them again, as this could tarnish their public image.

It was public knowledge that the France international would only move to Madrid if he ever left PSG. However, Mbappé turned down the chance to sign for the Spanish giants in 2022, signing a two-year contract with PSG, with a one-year extension clause.

Despite this, the electric forward looks destined to make his dream move this summer, after already agreeing personal terms with Madrid. Both clubs will likely announce the completion of this transfer once it is no longer possible that the two clubs can face each other in this years UEFA Champions League.
