PSG star a ‘priority’ summer signing for Atlético Madrid

La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have earmarked a member of the attacking ranks at Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain as a leading summer transfer target.

The PSG star in the sights of the capital outfit? Kang-in Lee.

Lee is for his part fresh off another historic campaign at club level, giving rise to a domestic and European double.

The South Korean, though, found himself restricted to a bit-part role in Luis Enrique’s star-studded squad. Though he was afforded 18 Ligue 1 starts, when it mattered most, in the Champions League, Lee did not feature from the off on a single occasion.

With as much in mind, the aforementioned Atlético Madrid have therefore set their sights on the 25-year-old’s signature.

Fresh off bidding farewell to Antoine Griezmann, and with Bernardo Silva having opted for a move to Real Madrid, Diego Simeone and co. consider Lee the ideal addition at the Metropolitano.

As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto:

‘Kang-in is once again a top priority target.’ Not only that, but ‘the player wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain and return to Spain’.
