PSG predicted XI v Barcelona: Kylian Mbappé returns, Marquinhos to replace suspended Achraf Hakimi

Paris Saint-Germain rotated heavily during Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Clermont Foot in Ligue 1 on Saturday, however, they are expected to return to full strength as Barcelona visit the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

With the Ligue 1 title all but secured, PSG have been able to prepare for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final by resting key players. Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz and Gianluigi Donnarumma were amongst those rested against Clermont, however, all will return to the starting XI.

There are two major question marks regarding Les Parisiens‘ line-up. The first pertains to who starts alongside Mbappé and Dembélé up front. L’Équipe understands that Lee Kang-in may get the nod, but Luís Enrique, who like Dembélé is facing his former side, is blessed with options. Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, Bradley Barcola and Marco Asensio are all pushing for a place in PSG’s line-up.

The second question pertains to the right-back position. Achraf Hakimi is suspended, whilst Nordi Mukiele, who suffered a suspected concussion on Saturday, is not in the squad. Warren Zaïre-Emery has been utilised at right-back in the past, but L’Équipe understands that club captain Marquinhos will fill in.
