A range of Premier League teams are showing interest in signing Alejandro Balde from Barcelona, report Sport.
The 19-year-old is having a great season with the Blaugrana and he has established himself as the team’s starting left-back ahead of veterans Marcos Alonso and Jordi Alba.
It thus comes as no surprise that Premier League clubs are keen on making a move for Balde in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Spaniard’s current deal is valid with Barcelona until 2024, but Balde’s agent Jorge Mendes is pushing the Catalan outfit to renew it as soon as possible the same way they did with other younger players in the senior side, including Gavi and Ronald Araújo.
It is believed that the two parties are in the process of negotiating an extension that could see Barcelona secure Balde’s services until at least 2027. The club’s director of football Mateu Alemany hopes to finalise discussions by December or January.
