Diego Simeone: “I don’t care what they think of me.”

Atlético Madrid face Cádiz this afternoon in the 12th round of La Liga.

In his pre-match interview that appeared on Marca, Diego Simeone discussed the match in the context of Los Colchoneros’ elimination from the Champions League midweek:

“It is clear that the disappointment of not achieving one of the objectives we had, after all the effort, is hard to take. But everything is moving forward, we have an important match tomorrow [today] where we must focus on the path we have taken since Sevilla. I still think the team is doing well.”

The Argentine coach was asked whether his time at Atlético Madrid is coming to an end:

“I feel that we have to play a great match tomorrow, that we have to keep working and give everything. I don’t think about anything other than what we have ahead of us. “I don’t care what they think of me”, said a great Spanish writer, I think the same. This does not end today.”
