Premier League clubs join race for Iván Fresneda

Real Valladolid have been listening to interested clubs for weeks and are considering the possible sale of Iván Fresneda, as reported by Relevo.

The last two clubs to enter the race for the 18-year-old right-back have been two Premier League sides: Arsenal and Newcastle. Both have shown a lot of interest in Fresneda and, to date, are the closest to securing his signature.

Away from England, Juventus are the team that have made the most decisive moves in recent months, but have yet to make a firm offer. Inter and Milan have also enquired about the talented defender.

The player’s clause is €30m, however, Valladolid could allow him to leave for a lower amount. Pacheta has the position well covered with Luis Pérez already back from injury, and Lucas Rosa.

The full-back came through the Real Madrid youth academy, before going on to play for Leganés. He eventually joined Valladolid in 2020.

His attacking threat, ability to win duels and strong work ethic have attracted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs since he broke onto the scene last season.
