An update on the speculation surrounding the future of Real Madrid-linked Sporting CP star Gonçalo Inácio has been provided on Friday.
For those who may have missed it, the name of defender Inácio has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the white half of the Madrid divide over recent days.
This comes after surprise claims were forthcoming in the media, pointing towards the 22-year-old inching towards a move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
In fact, some outlets went as far as to suggest that a €60m January deal was all but complete.
Inácio is widely considered to be one of the finest up-and-coming talents in his home country of Portugal, with rumours surrounding his imminent arrival having, in turn, sparked widespread excitement amongst the Real Madrid faithful.
Such supporters, however, need not get their hopes up, for the time being at least.
This comes amid confirmation that the capital giants have in fact not agreed a deal with their Sporting counterparts for the stopper.
As revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there is ‘no confirmation on €60m deal from Sporting for January’.
Premier League interest
Not only that but it is added that Premier League trio Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all keeping a close eye on Inácio’s development.
