Possible Real Madrid XI vs Almería

Carlo Ancelotti is expected to rotate in Almería after his side’s 2-0 win in the European Super Cup midweek.

New Real Madrid signing Aurélien Tchouaméni could make his La Liga debut for Los Blancos in midfield. Fede Valverde could move centrally in place of Toni Kroos, who was impressive in the club’s Super Cup win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rodrygo and Dani Carvajal are set to miss Madrid’s season opener. Rodrygo is struggling with a muscular problem and missed Los Blancos’ training session on Saturday morning. He started feeling pain in his right thigh and the medical team confirmed it would be for the best if the player didn’t play this weekend.

Carvajal will not be included in the squad either as the club is waiting for him to fully recover from an ankle sprain that he suffered in pre-season.

According to AS, Real Madrid’s starting XI for their La Liga opener will be as follows: Courtois – Vázquez, Militão, Rüdiger, Alaba – Modric, Tchouaméni, Valverde – Asensio, Benzema and Vinícius.
